2025 Task Force on New Mexico Redistricting of State Offices
Format and Ground Rules

Objective:
To educate the task force members and public about the current efforts to create an independent redistricting commission for state offices. And to review the principles agreed upon by the 2020 Redistricting Task Force to further the development of a fair and transparent redistricting process.

Format:
Zoom webinar with Task Force members as panelists. There will be strict timelines for each subject presented. Panelists can ask questions directly of the presenters. The public will be able to view the webinar and there will be time allotted at the end for them to ask questions through the Zoom Q&A function. The co-Chairs will read the questions.

Partisan statements or questions will not be allowed:
This applies to presenters, panelists, and the public. The co-Chairs will enforce this policy. If someone asks a partisan question, the co-Chairs may ask them to rephrase the question in a nonpartisan manner.

Proxy Attendance:
Task Force members may send a proxy to attend the webinar as panelists but every effort should be made by every member to attend the two webinars. The Task Force member should give task force administration notice by email of a proxy's attendance at least twenty-four hours before the meeting. Email: fairdistrictsnm@lwvnm.org
